lace-making enterprises in Russia since the mid 19th century.
Yelets laces - light and thin, with lattice-like open-work
ornament of square cells - were always distinguished by high
skills and master craftsmanship.The principal characteristics
of contemporary Yelets laces are their refined and delicate
beauty, light and diverse ornament which includes floral elements.
